A Kyle of Lochalsh photographer is “over the moon” to win a prestigious accolade at the “world’s top food photography awards”.
Lynne Kennedy, Kyle of Lochalsh local and an elopement photographer for Skye, was at Mall Galleries in London for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards earlier in June.
She took home the Taittinger Wedding Food Photographer of the Year Award for her picture titled, Let Them Eat Cake! Lynne also saw her photograph titled Martha Makes Paella win third place in the Clare Aho Award for Female Photographers category of the competition.
The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards is said to be the world’s leading awards for food photography and film.
Lynne said: “I am absolutely over the moon to be this year’s Pink Lady Taittinger Wedding Food Photographer of the Year, at the world’s top food photography awards! To have two of my photographs in the finals, chosen from the thousands of entries, was amazing, but for one of them to win — I’m just absolutely delighted!
“It’s wonderful that this photo, taken on the Isle of Skye, will be seen by so many people around the world. The Pink Lady Food Awards promotes the beautiful work of photographers from over 65 countries, and I feel extremely privileged to be part of that.”
Fellow winners in the awards came from countries across the globe including: Bangladesh, France, China, USA, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar.
The award was presented to Lynne by the award-winning TV chef and broadcaster, Andi Oliver.
