Abstract
The multidisciplinary tumor board’s (MTB) goals include achieving superior cancer patient treatment and survival while disseminating the latest oncology expertise between participating members. Over the past several years, physicians have faced an extraordinary growth of new molecular and genetic biology and medical and pharmaceutical discoveries; these include successful clinical trials of potent antibody-drug conjugates and a better understanding of therapies, including immuno-chemotherapy mechanisms of synergy.
Past reviews of MTBs concluded that evidence for improved patient survival as a function of tumor board presentation had been limited and inconsistent. Reviews included studies involving different types of tumor boards (including those restricted to the breast and those including newer molecular tumor boards. Today’s tumor board members must recognize, and be primed with, the latest cancer treatments.
We, like others, found that visual treatment algorithms combined with artificial intelligence (AI)-linked summaries
may enhance recall by augmenting visual-spatial memory. We developed a system that is easily transferrable through cooperation between current hospitals, interested internet-connected physicians, and associated medical and tumor board secretarial personnel. It can be taught to others within just hours. Medical visual, pathological, and radiological imaging for MTBs is easily accomplished. All final MTB recommendations and data are accessible online 24 hours per day; they may be sent to physicians who can or cannot attend meetings.
This information distribution technique, including visual algorithms linked to abstracted or and or downloadable documenting manuscripts, also employs large language model AI networks (Bard Gemini, Claude AI, and YOU.com) to rapidly enhance information exchange.
This technology is convenient, and it can distribute local and international governing association treatment guidelines combined with the newest clinical trial results. Physicians with a mobile phone can always be connected to the latest information anywhere and anytime.
